Areas of Practice

V. Moreno Hamilton is an Associate in the Firm’s Litigation Practice Group.

His practice areas include: Personal Injury Litigation, Labour and Employment Litigation, Trust Litigation, Insurance Litigation and Commercial Litigation.

Moreno Hamilton has excelled academically by graduating with distinction at the College of the Bahamas and with First Class Honours at the University of Buckingham, England.

He is a successful lawyer who has developed a reputation for achieving positive results for his clients.

His recent work highlights include:

  • Appearance in the Supreme Court and Court of Appeal in a contentious dispute surrounding the validity of a will.
  • Appearance in the Supreme Court in an action involving a dispute between beneficiaries under a will concerning monies in a bank account valued in excess of $2,000,000.00
  • Appearance in the Supreme Court in a medical negligence claim against a leading private hospital in the Bahamas.
  • Assisting lead counsel in a captive insurance partnership dispute valued at USD 88 million involving freezing of client assets.
  • Assisting lead counsel in an action valued at USD 5 million commenced by an Investment Fund against its Investment Manager for breach of Investment Advisory Agreement, breach of Trust and fraudulent misappropriation of the fund’s assets.

V. Moreno Hamilton is a Past President of the Alumni Association of Nassau Christian Academy. He is currently the President of the Bahamas Middle Temple Society and a member of the Rotary Club of New Providence.

He is a member of the Honourable Society of Middle Temple London and the Bahamas Bar Association
