V. Moreno Hamilton is a Partner in the Litigation Practice Group at Sears & Co., where he is known for his sharp advocacy, strategic thinking, and unwavering commitment to achieving meaningful results for his clients. His practice spans a wide range of complex disputes, including Personal Injury Litigation, Labour and Employment Litigation, Trust Litigation, Insurance Litigation, and Commercial Litigation.

A distinguished scholar, Moreno Hamilton graduated with distinction from the College of The Bahamas and later earned First Class Honours from the University of Buckingham in England. His academic excellence laid the foundation for a legal career marked by precision, diligence, and a reputation for excellence in the courtroom.

He has acted in several high‑profile and high‑value matters, including:

  • Serving as Counsel for the Joint Liquidators of Baha Mar.
  • Appearing before the Supreme Court and the Court of Appeal in a contentious dispute concerning the validity of a will.
  • Representing parties in a Supreme Court action involving a dispute between beneficiaries over more than $2,000,000 held in a bank account.
  • Appearing in the Supreme Court in a medical negligence claim against a leading private hospital in The Bahamas.
  • Assisting lead counsel in a captive insurance partnership dispute valued at USD 88 million, involving the freezing of client assets.
  • Assisting lead counsel in a USD 5 million action brought by an Investment Fund against its Investment Manager for breach of an Investment Advisory Agreement, breach of trust, and fraudulent misappropriation of fund assets.

Beyond the courtroom, Moreno Hamilton is deeply engaged in community and professional service. He is a Past President of the Alumni Association of Nassau Christian Academy and an active member of the Rotary Club of South Ocean, where he currently serves as Assistant Governor (Rotary Area Governor) for the Bahamas East Clubs.

He is also a proud member of the Honourable Society of the Middle Temple, London, and the Bahamas Bar Association.
